Description

The SRCC Global Business Operations (GBO) exam is a highly competitive national-level entrance test conducted annually by the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. It serves as the gateway to SRCC’s prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Global Business Operations (PGDGBO) program, which is considered one of the top management-oriented courses in international business offered in India.

The exam is a computer-based aptitude test of 120 minutes (2 hours), designed to evaluate a candidate’s analytical and managerial skills, problem-solving ability, and business acumen. It is structured across four core areas:

  1. English Comprehension - tests reading ability, vocabulary, grammar, and verbal reasoning.

  2. Quantitative Ability - focuses on mathematical aptitude, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and modern math.

  3. Logical Reasoning - measures critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and pattern recognition.

  4. Data Interpretation - assesses ability to interpret charts, graphs, and complex data sets for decision-making.

The exam consists of 160 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), equally distributed among the sections. Each correct response earns +4 marks, while an incorrect response results in a -1 penalty, and unattempted questions carry no negative marking. Importantly, there is no sectional time limit, giving candidates flexibility to allocate time as per their strengths.

After the written test, shortlisted candidates move on to the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The GD evaluates skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and logical expression of ideas, while the PI assesses a candidate’s overall personality, confidence, subject knowledge, and motivation for pursuing a career in global business.

The final selection is based on a composite score, giving weightage to the written exam as well as GD and PI performance. Due to its rigorous process, the SRCC GBO exam is considered highly prestigious, attracting thousands of aspirants every year who aim to build a career in international business management, trade, and global operations.
