Yes, an on-screen basic calculator is provided in the exam system. Physical calculators are not allowed.
Anyone with a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 50% marks for General category and 45% for SC/ST/PwD) or students in the final year of graduation can apply for CAT 2025.
CAT 2025 will have 3 sections:
1️⃣ VARC – Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
2️⃣ DILR – Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning
3️⃣ QA – Quantitative Ability
Total Duration: 2 hours (40 min per section)
Total Questions: Around 66
Question Type: MCQ + TITA
There is no limit on the number of attempts. You can take CAT every year without any age restriction.
CAT (Common Admission Test) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programs offered by IIMs and top B-schools in India. CAT 2025 will be conducted in November 2025 by one of the IIMs.
Generally, 98–100 percentile is required for top IIMs.
95+ percentile for new IIMs & top private B-schools.
Yes. -1 for every wrong MCQ answer.
No negative marking for TITA (Type-in-the-Answer) questions.
CAT score is valid for 1 year only.
